Final Blog Post (Series) - From Bare Bones to Warmhearted Dreams: A Couple's Journey Through Self-Employment and the Insulation Industry
A Happy Hello, friends, and a bittersweet farewell as this is the final blog in my “History” series. I am deeply grateful to have been a small part of your month over the past few months, and I hope the series has been informative, inspiring, or simply fun for you to read. Since I tend to consider myself a voyager in the journey of life more so than an expert in a specific subject, I’ve always hoped that our experiences might resonate with others or offer encouragement to someone pursuing self-employment dreams. If we can do it, you can too! We hope you’re living—or are inspired to start living—your version of the American Dream.
I’ll keep this post short and sweet and take this opportunity to ask: Do you have any questions or specific topics you’d like me to consider for another blog series? I’ve shared many but not all of our adventures, in more of an “overview” rather than deep-dive, and enjoyed chatting with many of you; I’d be happy to dive deeper into topics that interest you or that we’ve experienced. Let me know in the comments!
I also want to take a moment to thank every friend, family member, and past customer who has supported and helped make our dreams a reality. We wouldn’t be continuing our adventures today without the many people who’ve blessed our path. I wish I could name every single one of you—the list would be immensely long!
While we’ve had our share of lessons learned the hard way, I can confidently say this: If you approach the world with gratitude, genuineness, fairness, and softness of heart, there is a place for you in the small business world. The right people will cross your path more often than the wrong ones. I truly believe that we can each be the change we wish to see in the world.
Take care, friends, until we chat again!
